Looking for your next adventure? It seems like 2021 sounds a lot better than 2020, as travel bookings are increasing since people are getting vaccinated. While more and more people are searching for places to travel in 2021, many countries are reopening their doors for tourists, but of course, they’ll still need to follow the pandemic protocols by staying safe. Let’s start by choosing your next destination.
Pandemic Protocols While Traveling
It’s safe to say we’re all familiar with the usual pandemic protocols, wear a mask, wash your hands, and social distance. Governments worldwide require citizens to follow them. Other rules to consider when traveling in 2021 include:
- Wait two weeks to travel after taking the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
- Countries request a COVID-19 test to be done 72-hours before traveling.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
- To keep your mask on, refrain from eating on public transportations.
- Always keep a sanitizer in your bag
Even if you’re vaccinated, it’s always better to stay safe than sorry. Not only for yourself but for those around you as well.
Traveling in 2021; Where to Next?
1. Turkey
Book your next flight out to Turkey, whether you’re looking for a relaxing holiday next to the sea in Bodrum or a shopping spree in Taksim, Istanbul. You’ve probably already heard about the good food, reasonable prices, and archeological sites. However, it all depends on where you’re coming from. If you’re coming from India, South Africa, or Brazil, quarantine is required.
2. France
After watching Emily in Paris, we’re all looking forward to traveling again to the city of love. Everybody looks forward to visiting the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and most importantly, the Eiffel Tower. The good news is the Eiffel Tower will be reopening on July 16 with only 10,000 visitors a day due to social distancing requirements. The bad news is unless you’re from European countries, you’ll have to quarantine for 7-10 days before enjoying your vacation.
3. Greece
Blue and white with some ocean breeze and sunshine. Greece is one of few countries that’s quarantine-free if you’re fully vaccinated. The only thing you need is documentation that you got both doses and a negative PCR test. If you’re looking for peace of mind, pack your swimsuit and book the next flight out to Santorini or Mykonos. While if you’re interested in archeological sites and good food, Athens is the answer.
4. Costa Rica
If you’re looking for something new and different, you might want to take a look at Costa Rica. The central American country has maintained low COVID-19 fatality rates and has the pandemic under control. Whether you travel by air or land, you don’t need a PCR test or quarantine unless you get infected with COVID-19.
While in Costa Rica, visit Monteverde, a cloud forest full of unique birds, or enjoy surfing, tanning, and partying in Puerto Viejo. That’s only a small peek at all the things you can do, and that’s why you should consider visiting it this summer.
5. Portugal
Art, surfing, and good weather can all be found in one place, Portugal. You’ll fall in love with every detail of the country, just visit Sintra and you’ll see. Tourists love Sintra for its history, beaches, parks, and gardens. While they also enjoy Lisbon to visit museums, drink good coffee, and enjoy the nightlife.
The pandemics regulations vary based on where you’re coming from. If your country is marked as safe, you’ll only need a PCR test to enter. If it’s not, you’ll need to quarantine for 14-days.
After a year of the pandemic, everyone is looking forward to a relaxing vacation. Did you decide where you’re traveling in 2021 yet?
